Herring Mobile Gear Opening in St. Mary's Bay for <55' fleet

Fisheries and Oceans Canada advises that the Herring fishery in St. Mary's Bay, Herring Fishing Area 09 for mobile gear vessels less than 55 feet in length (16.76 m), will open at 0600 hours on Monday, March 9, 2020.

Fishers are reminded that At-Sea Observer coverage and Dockside Monitoring services must be arranged prior to fishing.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2020-011 has been revoked and Variation Order 2020-015 comes into effect on March 7, 2020.
