Delayed opening to the Newfoundland and Labrador Snow Crab Season
Fisheries and Oceans Canada advises that while the management approach for the 2020 Newfoundland and Labrador Snow crab fishery has not been finalized, the fishery will not open before April 20, 2020. A decision on the 2020 management approach is expected in the near future and once finalized the details will be communicated broadly.
The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Orders 2019-273 and 2019-191 have been revoked and Variation Orders 2020-027 and 2020-028 come into effect on April 3, 2020.
