INSHORE FISHERIES DELAYED OPENING

DFO advises that inshore commercial fisheries in Newfoundland and Labrador will not open before May 1, 2020.  Once decisions are made on a fishery by fishery basis, it will be communicated via Notice to Harvesters.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada is committed to working with industry and partners across government to determine the best path forward given the evolving global response to COVID-19.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Orders 2019-200, 2019-295, 2019-296,  2020-016, 2020-028 have been revoked and Variation Orders 2020-029, 2020-030, 2020-031, 2020-032 and 2020-033 will come into effect on April 10, 2020.
