Red Bay, Labrador UNESCO World Heritage Site
On behalf of Red Bay Basque Whaling Station World Heritage Site, DFO wishes to remind Mariners that the harbour at Red Bay, Labrador (51⁰43’36.93”N 56⁰25’46.28”W) contains historic shipwrecks and other archaeological resources which could be negatively impacted by marine activity such as fishing, dredging, seining or other activities that could disturb the sea bottom. Captains are asked to avoid entering Red Bay harbour for these purposes.
