Capelin Fisheries Closing

DFO advises harvesters that all capelin fisheries in the Newfoundland and Labrador Region will close as of December 31, 2020.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Orders 2020-160 and 2020-191 have been revoked and Variation Orders 2020-256 and 2020-257 come into effect on December 12, 2020.

“Notices to Fish Harvesters” for all commercial fisheries are now available online under the Fishery Notices link on the DFO NL Region webpage at http://www.nfl.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/e0004341
