Fixed Gear Capelin Fishery Opening in a Portion of Capelin Fishing Area 3 in NAFO Division 3K

DFO advises that the capelin fishery for vessels using fixed gear will open on July 29, 2018 at 0600 hours in the following areas of NAFO Division 3K: Cape Bauld to Fishot Island Fishot Island to Cape Fox Fish harvesters are reminded that no capelin may be removed from any fixed gear until the fishery has been open for a period of 24 hours. Fish harvesters are advised to listen to 2598khz or VHF continuous Marine Radio for the latest information.

Licence conditions can be obtained through DFO's National On-line Licencing System.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2018-216 has been revoked and Variation Order 2018-230 comes into effect at 1800 hours on July 28, 2018.
