Notice
The Regional Director-General of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans for the Maritimes Region gives notice that Variation Order MAR-VAR-2025-102 has been issued to vary the gear permitted for recreational mackerel fishing in Mackerel Fishing Areas 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 as follows:
A person engaged in recreational fishing for mackerel in Mackerel Fishing Areas 17 to 21 shall not fish for mackerel with more than one fishing line or with a fishing line to which more than three hooks are attached.
This order takes effect immediately and remains in force until December 31, 2026.
Maritimes Region Variation Order MAR-VAR-2025-072 is hereby revoked.
