NOTICE TO ANGLERS
No Retention of Salmon on Bernard Pond, Twillick Pond, and Conne Pond
DFO advises anglers that retention of salmon is not permitted in the following areas:
The mouth of Bernard’s Pond and above, including headwaters.
The mouth of Conne Pond and above, including headwaters.
The mouth of Twillick Pond and above, including headwaters.
This measure has been implemented to protect salmon populations in these scheduled rivers and non-scheduled ponds.
Please note, the ponds remain open to trout angling and retention however Conne River and tributaries including Bernard’s Brook and Twillick Brook are currently closed for the season to all angling.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2016-066 has been revoked and Variation Order 2016-085 comes into effect on June 29, 2016.
