Fixed Gear Herring Fishery Closing in Trinity Bay

DFO advises that the Fixed Gear Herring fishing season for Herring Fishing Area 6, Trinity Bay in NAFO Division 3L, will close at 2000hrs on the following dates:

A. Gillnets closing June 7, 2016,

B. Trap nets closing May 31, 2016,

C. Barr/Tuck Seines closing June 14, 2016.

Fishers are reminded that all fishing gear must be removed from the water prior to the closure.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2016-050 has been revoked and Variation Order 2016-053 comes into effect on May 27, 2016 at 1800 hours.
