Halibut Fishery Opening in 4R for Quebec Western Lower North Shore Fleet

DFO advises that the Halibut fishery in NAFO Division 4R, for vessels based in the Quebec Region, will open on August 17, 2016 at 0400 hrs EDT and close on August 18, 2016 at 1800 hrs EDT. The opening applies to vessel class A229 (Quebec Region Western Lower North Shore based fish harvesters).

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2016-184 has been revoked and Variation Order 2016-187 comes into effect on August 17, 2016.
