Humane Harvesting Training for the Commercial Seal Fishery - April 2017
Humane Harvesting training sessions are currently scheduled in April 2017, as outlined below.
Gander - Tuesday, April 4 - Albatross Hotel
Whitbourne - Wednesday, April 5 - Lions Club
Deer Lake - Thursday, April 6 - Deer Lake Motel
Plum Point - Friday, April 7, Plum Point Motel
Training schedule:
9am - Humane Harvesting
11am - Quality / Handling / Health
These workshops are being delivered specifically for Sealers that are looking to obtain a Commercial Assistant Temporary Licence.
Fisheries and Oceans reminds all Commercial Seal licence holders that Humane Harvesting Training on the three-step process is mandatory for all Commercial Seal licence holders - including the Commercial Assistant Temporary licence category.
