Fixed Gear Capelin Fishery Closing Bonavista Bay

DFO advises that the capelin fishery for vessels using fixed gear in Bonavista Bay (CFA 5) will close today Wednesday August 2, 2017 at 2400 hours and reopen on Friday August 4, 2017 at 0600 hours.

Fish harvesters are advised to listen to 2598 khz or VHF continuous Marine Radio for the latest information.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2017-190 has been revoked and Variation Order 2017-197 comes into effect at 1800 hours on August 2, 2017.
