Fixed Gear Capelin Opening in a portion of Capelin Fishing Area 4 in NAFO Division 3K

DFO advises that the capelin fishery for vessels using Fixed gear will open August 11, 2017 at 1200 hours in Capelin Fishing Area 4 (Notre Dame Bay) from North Head to Dog Bay Point and Dog Bay Point to Cape Freels in NAFO Division 3K.

Fish harvesters are reminded that no capelin may be removed from any fixed gear until the fishery has been open for a period of 24 hours.

Fish harvesters are advised to listen to 2598khz or VHF continuous Marine Radio for the latest information.

Licence conditions can be obtained through DFO's National On-line Licencing System.
