Fixed Gear Herring fishery Opening in Notre Dame Bay (HFA 4) NAFO Division 3K

DFO wishes to advise harvesters that the fixed gear Herring fishery nets and traps and tuck seine will open in Herring Fishing 4 (Notre Dame Bay) in NAFO Division 3K at 06:00 hours on Friday September 1, 2017.

Harvesters who submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) and were successful in a draw for the fixed gear tuck seine have been notified by e-mail.

Conditions are available for those harvesters on the National Online Licencing System (NOLS).

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2017-234 has been revoked and Variation Order 2017-242 comes into effect on August 31, 2017.
