Closure of Winter Trout Angling Season

DFO advises anglers that the winter trout angling season for Zone 1 (Insular Newfoundland) closes on April 15, 2018. Angling for trout in tidal waters is still permitted. However, the daily bag limit applies.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Orders 2017-256, 2017-257, 2017-258 and 2017-259 have been revoked and Variation Orders 2018-024, 2018-025, 2018-026 and 2018-027 come into effect on April 13, 2018.
