Fall Angling - Gander Main Stem Closing

DFO advises anglers that due to extreme low water levels the main stem of Gander River from outlet on Gander Lake to river mouth will close to catch-and-release angling one hour after sunset, Sunday, September 9, 2018. This river will re-open once conditions improve.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2018-354 has been revoked and Variation Order 2018-359 comes into effect on September 8, 2018.
