Reminder of Scallop Closure Areas in Scallop Fishing Area 14

DFO reminds Scallop fish harvesters in Scallop Fishing Area 14 (Cape St. Gregory to Cape Bauld) that the following areas are closed to commercial scallop fishing to protect Lobster fishing grounds:

- St. Margaret's Bay shoreward of a straight line drawn from Ferolle Point to Dog Point;

- St. Genevieve Bay shoreward of a straight line drawn from Cape St.

Genevieve to Pond Point (near Forrester's Point);

- Pistolet Bay shoreward of a straight line drawn from Blackberry Point to Forest Point.

Additionally, that portion of Scallop Fishing Area 14 in NAFO Division 4R, from Forteau Point to Shoal Cove East, known as the Scallop No Drag Zone, is closed to all Scallop dragging. Co-ordinates are outlined in conditions.
