REMINDER: 2018 2J3KL Northern Cod Stewardship Fishery – Closure

Harvesters are reminded that the 2018 Northern Cod Stewardship fishery will close to all vessel classes at 1800 hours (6 pm) on Saturday, October 27, 2018.

The Department prioritizes safety at sea and if a harvester is unable to retrieve their gear by the close time due to safety, they are advised to contact their local C&P detachment.

Landings for the period up to and including Wednesday, October 24th = 9,271 t, which is 98% of the maximum authorized harvest amount.
