NOTICE TO FISH HARVESTERS

2019 Stewardship Cod – NAFO Division 2J

Harvesters fishing cod in NAFO Division 2J are reminded that during the periods of September 29 - October 31, and November 1 - November 9, that they may elect to fish a single trip with a catch limit of 28,000 lbs rather than the weekly limit of 7,000 lbs.

Harvesters selecting this option MUST indicate their intention in writing via e-mail to chelsie.tricco@dfo-mpo.gc.ca by Wednesday September 18, 2019. Harvesters are required to provide their full name, FIN and Homeport in the email.

Harvesters who does not select the 2J Trip option by the deadline will receive conditions authorizing them to fish during the period September 29 – November 9 with a catch limit of 7,000 lbs per week.
