Salmon Rivers Re-opening in Zones 3, 4 & 10

DFO advises anglers that the following rivers will re-open to normal salmon angling hours as of one hour before sunrise on August 28, 2020.

 

Zone 3

26. Coney Arm River

27. *Sop’s Arm River, including Main, Doucer’s, Natlin’s, Corner Brook, and all tributary streams

28. Hampden River

29. Wild Cove Brook, White Bay

30. Western Arm Brook, White Bay

31. Middle Arm Brook, White Bay

32. Southern Arm Brook, White Bay

33. Baie Verte River & tributaries

34. Woodstock River

 

Zone 4

35. *Burlington River

36. Indian River, Hall’s Bay, including Burnt Berry Brook below falls, Davis Brook and Black Brook

37. West River, Hall’s Bay, including Rowsell’s Brook & Barney’s Brook

38. South Brook, Hall’s Bay & tributary streams

39. Tommy’s Arm River & tributary streams

40. Northwest Arm Brook

41. Western Arm River

42. Leamington River

43. Charles Brook, Bay of Exploits

44. Northern Arm River, Bay of Exploits

45. Peter’s River, Bay of Exploits

46. *Exploits River and tributary streams - Tributaries below Grand Falls fishway

(please note that the Exploits River and its tributaries are open to normal angling hours)

50. * That portion of Northwest Gander Tributary of the Gander River from mouth of Great Gull River and Upstream

(please note that the Main Stem below Gander Lake is also open to normal angling hours)

99. *Red Harbour River, Northeast &Northwest branches & tributary streams

100. West Brook, North West Arm, Mortier Bay, & tributary streams

101. Tide’s Brook, Mortier Bay, including Main Brook, Shearstick Brook &tributary streams

102. Salmonier River, Burin

103. Little St. Lawrence River & tributary streams

104. Lawn River & tributary streams

105. Taylor’s Bay River, Burin Peninsula & tributary streams

106. *Salmonier Lamaline River & tributary streams

107. Piercey’s Brook & tributary streams

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Orders 2020-214, 2020-215, 2020-216, 2020-217 and 2020-218 have been revoked and Variation Orders 2020-219, 2020-220, 2020-221, 2020-222 and 2020-223 come into effect at 1700 hours August 27, 2020.
