Herring Mobile Gear Reopening in Placentia Bay for <55' fleet

DFO advises that the Herring fishery in Placentia Bay, Herring Fishing Area 10 for mobile gear vessels less than 55 feet in length (16.76 m), will open at 0600 hours on March 28, 2020.

Please note: Fishery may close on short notice due to limited available quota.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2020-018 has been revoked and Variation Order 2020-020 comes into effect on March 27, 2020.
