3Ps - Placentia Bay Commercial Scallop Fishery

DFO advises that the portion of Scallop Fishing Area 10 (Placentia Bay), inside a line drawn from Point Verde (47º 14.33”N, 54º 00.94”W) on the east side of the bay, to Red Harbour Head (47º 16.59”N, 54º 58.58”W) on the west side, is closed for commercial scallop fishing until 0600 hours September 1, 2020. This is in line with the management measures for this fishery.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2020-044 has been revoked and Variation Order 2020-149 comes into effect on July 29, 2020.
