Mobile Gear Capelin Fishery Opening in 3K and 3L

DFO advises that the capelin fishery for vessels using mobile gear will open on August 1, 2020 at 06:00 hours and close on August 1, 2020 at 22:00 hours in the following capelin fishing areas:

White Bay (Capelin Fishing Area 3)

Notre Dame Bay (Capelin Fishing Area 4)

Bonavista Bay (Capelin Fishing Area 5)

Trinity Bay (Capelin Fishing Area 6)

Conception Bay (Capelin Fishing Area 7)

Harvesters are reminded there is a change in daily trip limits.  Amended license conditions will be available on NOLS and will be required for this fishery.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2020-147 has been revoked and Variation Order 2020-159 comes into effect on August 1, 2020.
