Fixed Gear Capelin Fishery Closing in Conception Bay

DFO advises that the capelin fishery for vessels using fixed gear (tuck, bar seine and trap) will close on Monday, July 5, 2021 at 22:00 hours in Conception Bay.

Pending landing assessment, a reopening may be announced. Harvesters are advised to closely monitor Notice to Fishers for information.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2021-131 has been revoked and Variation Order 2021-133 comes into effect at 1700 hours on July 5, 2021.
