Rainbow and Brown Trout
DFO advises anglers that due to improved water temperatures Shoal Harbour River (from coastal waters to 25 meters below the dam) will open to Rainbow and Brown trout angling as of one hour before sunrise, September 8, 2021. Angling for rainbow trout is permitted from coastal waters to a point 25 meters below the dam and angling for brown trout is permitted from coastal waters to a point 23 meters below the dam.
The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2021-257 has been revoked and Variation Order 2021-264 comes into effect at 1800 hours, September 7, 2021.
