Herring Mobile Gear Reopening in Placentia Bay & St. Marys Bay for >55' fleet

Fisheries and Oceans Canada advises that the Herring fishery in St. Mary's Bay, Herring Fishing Area 09 and Placentia Bay, Herring Fishing Area 10 for mobile gear vessels greater than 55 feet in length (16.76 m), will re-open at 1200 hours noon on Thursday, February 4, 2021.

Fishery may close on short notice due to limited available quota.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2021-006 has been revoked and Variation Order 2021-007 comes into effect at 1200 hours on February 4, 2021.
