Notice to Fishers in NAFO Division 3K

DFO advises harvesters that a scientific survey is being conducted in the vicinity of the Northeast Newfoundland Slope Closure, NAFO Division 3K, from May 21 to July 22 and from September 5 to October 5, 2021.

The study area will include the areas to the east of the Northeast Newfoundland Closure, along the 500m contour, and 60km south of the Northeast Newfoundland closure in waters less than 500m.

Harvesters are asked to give the study areas a wide berth when scientific activities are occurring.
