ATLANTIC HALIBUT FISHERY REOPENING IN SUB-DIVISION 3Pn – New Conditions available

DFO advises that the Atlantic halibut fishery in NAFO sub-Division 3Pn, for vessels less than 65 feet using hook and line gear, will reopen at 0600 hours to 2000 hours on Sunday May 30 2021 with limited remaining quota.

Please note that there are new amended conditions of licence available to harvesters through the National Online Licencing System (NOLS) that reflect an amended allowable limit for this one day fishery.

Fish harvesters are reminded of the following:

- All licence holders are required to hail-out, at least three hours before leaving port, to the DFO toll-free number at 1-877-637-4315.

- All fishing gear must be removed from the water by closing time.
