Fixed Gear Capelin Fishery Opening in Conception Bay

DFO advises that the capelin fishery for vessels using fixed gear will open on July 8, 2021 at 06:00 hours and close on July 8, 2021 at 22:00 hours in Conception Bay (Capelin Fishing Area 7).

Harvesters are reminded there is a change in daily trip limits. Amended license conditions will be available on NOLS and will be required for this fishery.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2021-133 has been revoked and Variation Order 2021-136 comes into effect at 1700 hours on July 7, 2021.
