Mobile Gear Capelin Fishery Opening in Bonavista and Conception Bay

DFO advises that the capelin fishery for vessels using mobile gear will open on July 9, 2021 at 06:00 hours and close on July 9, 2021 at 22:00 hours in Bonavista and Conception Bay (Capelin Fishing Areas 5 and 7).

Harvesters are advised that there is a change in daily trip limits. Amended license conditions will be available on NOLS and will be required for this fishery.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2021-132 has been revoked and Variation Order 2021-140 comes into effect on July 9, 2021.
