Scientific Survey Concluded in NAFO Division 3K

DFO advises harvesters that the scientific survey work related to the potential effects of seismic exploration on various fish species is complete in NAFO Division 3K. The area encompassed by the following points will reopen to the <65 ft Fixed Gear Turbot Permit holders at 06:00 hours July 23, 2021.

Point 1: 49 Degrees 43 Minutes North, -50 Degrees 03 Minutes West

Point 2: 49 Degrees 43 Minutes North, -49 Degrees 33 Minutes West

Point 3: 49 Degrees 20 Minutes North, -49 Degrees 33 Minutes West

Point 4: 49 Degrees 20 Minutes North, -50 Degrees 03 Minutes West

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2021-195 has been revoked and Variation Order 2021-203 comes into effect on July 22, 2021.
