2021 2J3KL Cod Stewardship Fishery Fall Fishery Opening and Reminder of 3KL Catch Limits

As per the 2021 Conservation and Harvesting Plan (CHP), DFO reminds 3KL fish harvesters who opted for Fall Fishery that the season commences on Sunday September 12, 2021 at 06:00 hours to vessel classes A294 and A296.

Harvesters who opted to fish during the 3KL regular season are reminded that the base authorized weekly limit will increase to 4,000 lbs as of September 12, 2021 and new license conditions are required.

Fish Harvesters are advised that license conditions are available on the National Online Licensing System (NOLS).

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2021-261 has been revoked and Variation Order 2021-262 comes into effect on September 8, 2021.
