Reminder – Mackerel Fisheries Closed

DFO reminds harvesters that all Mackerel fisheries for all areas and all gear types in the Newfoundland and Labrador Region are closed for the year.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Orders 2021-284 and 2021-285 have been revoked and Variation Orders 2021-294 and 2021-295 come into effect at 2359 hours on December 31, 2021.

“Notices to Fish Harvesters” for all commercial fisheries are now available online at the Fishery Notices link on the DFO NL Region webpage at https://www.nfl.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/en
