Expression of interest for August NAFO Division 2+3K Greenland Halibut Fishery

DFO advises fish harvesters who wish to participate in the August portion of the 2016 fixed gear fishery for Greenland halibut (turbot) in NAFO Divisions 2+3K must submit an Expression of Interest Application to the Fisheries Science Stewardship and Sustainability Board (FSSSB) by Thursday, July 21, 2016.

Licence holders are advised to contact the FSSSB at (709) 576-0230 to obtain an Expression of Interest Application, if they intend participate in the August NAFO Divisions 2+3K Greenland halibut (turbot) fishery; or if they require additional information.

 Expression of Interest Applications must be received by the Sustainability Board by Thursday, July 21, 2016. Late applications will not be accepted.

Fish harvesters are reminded that harvesters in the < 40 ft. (<12.2m) Fixed Gear Groundfish Fleet participating in the 2+3KL Greenland Halibut Fishery(GHL) that Vessel Monitoring Systems (VMS) are required for the 2016 fishery.
