These workshops are being delivered specifically for those Commercial Sealers who have not already successfully completed this training and received the appropriate course completion certificates.

Sealers who did not renew their 2015 licence will be granted an opportunity to renew their 2016 licence after they have successfully completed this mandatory training.

If you have successfully participated in a Humane Harvesting Training Session recognized by the Professional Fish Harvesters Certification Board (PFHCB), and can provide the Department with written proof of this training, then you meet the mandatory training requirement for licence renewal.

It is important to note that if Commercial Sealers do not complete the mandatory Humane Harvesting training and renew their 2016 Commercial Sealing licence by 30 November 2016, their Commercial Seal licence will not be eligible for renewal in 2017.
