Molluscan Shellfish Harvesting Re-opening - Various Bays

 

DFO advises that, following the 21-day mandatory closure period, portions of the coastline of Newfoundland that were closed on October 11, 2016 due to significant rainfall will re-open for molluscan shellfish harvesting.

- all waters within 3 km of the coastline and islands from North Head (near Fortune Harbour) at 633141E 5489509N east to a point near Cape Freels at 317550E 5461710N

- all waters within 3 km of the coastline and islands from Cape St. Gregory at 410361E 5471405N south and east to Point May 581243E 5193953N (on the Burin Peninsula).

 

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Prohibition Orders NSN2016-016, NSN2016-017, NSN2016-018, and NSN2016-020 have been revoked and Prohibition Orders NSN2016-028, NSN2016-029, NSN2016-030 and NSN2016-031 come into effect at 1300 hours on November 1, 2016.
