Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the area listed below is closed for fishing for any species of clams, mussels, oysters and any other bivalve molluscs, including bay scallops, in the Province of New Brunswick.

  1. The waters of Tern Island inside the lines drawn from grid reference 354507E 5244084N to grid reference 353700E 5243722N to grid reference 353818E 5241793N. (Refer to map Wishart Point 21 P/7).
  2. The waters near Tabusintac Gully and southward inside a line drawn from grid reference 353677E 5241256N, on the inside of Tabusintac Beach, westward to grid reference 351790E 5240435N then southward along the high water mark to grid reference 351015E 5238200N, then easterly to grid reference 351379E 5238257N, then northward along the western shore of the small island to grid reference 351669E 5238883N, then easterly to grid reference 352114E 5238807N on the inside of the southern Tabusintac Beach dune, then northward along the high water mark and east side of the southern Tabusintac Beach dune to grid reference 352724E 5240544N on the northern tip of the dune, then southward along the eastern shore of the dune to grid reference 352741E 5240196N then eastward to grid reference 353906E 5240181N, then northward to grid reference 353937E 5241228N, then to grid reference 353677E 5241256N. (Refer to map Wishart Point 21 P/7).
  3. The waters of Neguac Bay inside a line drawn from grid reference 349855E 5238240N to grid reference 349842E 5236145N, then to grid reference 350253E 5236540N, then to grid reference 350798E 5236995N, then from grid reference 351680E 5238208N to grid reference 351687E 5238028N, then from grid reference 352116E 5238819N to grid reference 351668E 5238882N, then from grid reference 351427E 5238313N to grid reference 351390E 5238249N and then from grid reference 351027E 5238191N to grid reference 349855E 5238240N. (Refer to map Wishart Point 21 P/7)

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1983).

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2013-010 will come into force April 24, 2013.

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2004-12 is revoked.
