NOTICE OF FISHING PROHIBITION (ROSEWAY BASIN)

Fisheries and Oceans Canada hereby gives notice of the following new temporary fishing prohibitions affecting crab, groundfish (gillnet), Herring (bait and gillnet), Mackerel (bait), Whelk and Atlantic hagfish in the Maritimes Region pursuant to the conditions of fishing licenses and the Dynamic Protocol for the Protection of North Atlantic Right Whales. 

Effective October 5, 2025 at 17:00 hours and until further notice, it is prohibited to fish for crab, groundfish (gillnet), Herring (bait and gillnet), Mackerel (bait), Whelk and Atlantic hagfish in that portion of the Roseway Basin enclosed by straight lines joining the following points in the  order in which they are listed:

Coordinates are expressed in the North American Datum 1983 (NAD 83) geodetic reference system.
