Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that the area listed below is closed for fishing of any species of clams, mussels, oysters and any other bivalve molluscs, including bay scallops in the province of New Brunswick:

The waters of Shediac Harbour inside a line drawn from a point on land at Shediac Cape at grid reference 379170E 5123540N to a point on the water north of Pointe-du-Chene Wharf at grid reference 381755E 5122280N, then south to a point on land at grid reference 381760E 5120590N (Refer to map Moncton 21-I/02).

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid system set out on the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources.(North American Datum 1983).

Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2013-037 issued on September 27, 2013, is revoked.

Gulf Region Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN‑2014-001 comes into force on January 16, 2014.
