Notice

The Regional Director General for the Gulf Region, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby gives notice that Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2019-009 (closing the area listed below) is hereby revoked:

1. The waters of Sureau Blanc Creek inside a line drawn from grid reference 357305E 5260225N to grid reference 355685E 5260765N and from grid reference 355685E 5260713N to grid reference 356862E 5260124N.
 
2. The waters of Big Tracadie River inside a line drawn from grid reference 354208E 5257205N to grid reference 354785E 5259525N and from grid reference 354718E 5259806N to grid reference 354670E 5259842N.
 
3. The waters of Big Tracadie River inside a line drawn from 359035E 5260310N to grid reference 358341E 5260018N to grid reference 358258E 5260018N to grid reference 357305E 5260225N to grid reference 356862E 5260124N to grid reference 356558E 5259256N to grid reference 356558E 5259136N to grid reference 355970E 5259138N to grid reference 355914E 5259540N to grid reference 354785E 5259525N to grid reference 354208E 5257705N to grid reference 354753E 5256863N to grid reference 354960E 5257234N and to grid reference 359024E 5260133N.

Note:  When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid System set out in the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (North American Datum 1983).

Fishers are reminded that nearby waters are still closed to fishing due to high levels of bacteria. Fishers are encouraged to consult their local Fishery Officers concerning the status of the fishing areas before going fishing.
