Notice

The Regional Director-General, Maritimes Region, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, opens the following area to fishing for all species of clams, quahaugs, oysters, all whelks, and bay scallops: 

All waters within 3 km of the mainland coastline and islands of: 

  • All of Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick 
  • The waters of Shepody Bay, Petitcodiac River estuary and Cumberland Basin.  Specifically: 
  • The entire coastline of Albert County and a portion of Westmorland County, New Brunswick from the Albert-Saint John County line to the NB-NS border. 
  • A portion of the coastline of Cumberland County, Nova Scotia from the NB-NS border to Cap d'Or.

 

Note that the Shepody Bay-Cumberland Basin closures are contiguous.

 

The Maritimes Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. MAR-SSN-2015-007,  is hereby revoked
