Notice

The Regional Director-General, Maritimes Region, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, hereby revokes the Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. MAR-SSN-2015-026 and issues Prohibition Order No. MAR-SSN-2015-027, closing the following area(s) to fishing for all species of clams, quahaugs, mussels, oysters, whelks and bay scallops: 

                The waters within these areas of Nova Scotia: 

  1. Little Harbour Lake from grid reference 333393E / 4840280N to grid reference 333454E / 4840355N.  Zone 20
  2. All waters within 3km of the coastline and islands from Pollock Point east of Medway Harbour at grid reference 380564E / 4888434N to grid reference 401849E / 4905111N at Rose Point. Zone 20
  3. All waters within 3km of the coastline and islands from grid reference 397020E / 4926284N      Martins Point to grid reference 420035E / 4928741N at White Point in West St. Margarets Bay.  Zone 20. 

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid system set out on the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (NAD 1983).

 

Thereby rescinding a portion of Halifax County: all waters within 3km of the coastline and islands from grid reference 444319E / 4924364N to grid reference 496176E / 4946602N at Jeddore Cape.  Zone 20
