The Regional Director General, for Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Maritimes Region, issues Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. SSN-2012-025, closing the following area to fishing for any bivalve molluscs:

                                              

 

The following areas within or adjacent to Inverness County, Nova Scotia:

 

That portion of Whycocomagh Bay inside a line drawn from grid reference 645083 5088564 near Pooles Pond to grid reference 644900 5088850 thence to grid reference 644200 5089350 thence to grid reference 645350 5090160 thence to grid reference 645540 5090390 on Indian Island, thence along the shore inside of Indian Island to grid reference 645588 5091258 on Indian Island and thence to grid reference 646311 5091825.  Refer to map Whycocomagh 11F/14.

 

 

Note: When the boundary of an area is expressed in grid references, those grid references are based on the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid system set out on the National Topographic Series Map, Scale 1:50,000 published by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources.  (North American Datum 1927)
